Abel slowly picked up her head and looked directly at the man, but still couldn't see. She let out a low groan, laying her head back down and slowly became human again.

The man walked up to Abel, his steps silent but meaningful. He crouched beside Abel and stroked her hair softly. "Rest now, all shall be taken care of." He said, his voice soft and comforting. He walked away from her and approached the demon. Asurmen and Lugganath watched, dumbstruck, as with a raise of the mans arms, chains blew out of the ground and bound the awaking Keneesh.

Abel smiled at the man's touch, her senses returning. She flinched as the pain from where she got hit reached her brain.

The man jumped upon Keneesh's chest and pulled out a long sword from a scabbard on his back. He rose it up into the air and before he plunged it down Muhad dived into him, knocking him over onto the ground. "Brother!" Muhad yelled as they thudded to the ground.
The two shinigami rushed in, Lugganath went charging towards Muhad and the man as the tried to wrestle each other into incapacitation. Asurmen ran towards Abel. He picked her up onto her shoulder and tried to move her towards a safe distance. But before he could, their was an explosion of rock, dirt, and mud as Keneesh pulled the chains from the ground.

"Ouch! Father, that hurts!" Abel whimpered, feeling even more pain as she was pulled from the ground. She tried to stay good and quiet afterward, knowing complaining was a waste of energy.

"Sorry dear," He said, moving her into his arms and laying her as flat as he could make her. He ran from Keneesh, his entire body remaining steady so that she was comfortable, the demon began to pursue.

Abel smiled at her father. It disappered when she looked over his shoulder. "Oh great."

"Oh great wh-" Asurmen asked, but before he could finish his sentence he tripped. He braced his arm so that only he would take any damage. He gazed at his ankle as all of this happened and saw a lesser demon grappled on as it dug out of the ground, with many more digging out around them.

Abel forced herself to her feet and swiped at the demon grasping Asurmen's ankle with claw-like nails. She pulled her father onto her back with a wince and transformed into a dragon again. She took flight, fleeing from the demons. "You're a shinigami for crying out loud. Why didn't you fly?" she questioned him in her head.

"Flying isn't as stable as running is, I didn't want to hurt you." He said, as he dived off of her back and spreading his own wings. "I have to save Lugganath!"

Abel sighed and flew under Asurmen. "Don't bother doing it alone. I nor Mother will allow it," she said, turning her head to look at her mother.

"You get Lugganath and the man, I'll distract the demon." He said, pulling out two short blades from his belt. He looked over at Lugganath as he descended.
Lugganath had joined the fight, it was two on one but Muhad's tentacles seemed to even it out. Muhad dived at the man with a knife only to be body-slammed in mid-air by Lugganath.

Abel scooped Lugganath up in her paw and took off.

The man ran after them, and jumped towards Lugganath as he caught him. "Thank you Abel." The man said to her. "Thank you Lugganath."
Asurmen slammed into Keneesh's exposed stomach with his shoulder. The demon toppled over instantly, and as he tried to get up Asurmen started to slay the lesser demons. The vermin were little match to Asurmen's mastery of swordsmanship.

Abel let out a pur-like noise. She smiled at the man with her eyes before watching where she was going. "You seem to know my name. May I ask yours?" she asked the man telepathicly.

"I am Desmond, I probably look familiar to you don't I?" He said as he lowered the cloth that was wrapped around his head. His face looked like that of Muhad's, only gentler and smoother.

Abel made another purring noise. "You do, but you look different, too. You look much kinder than your brother. The two brothers reminded Abel of Yin and Yang, the angel and demon that were a part of her whole.

"Yes, I guess you could consider us Yin and Yang almost." He said, when then he realized what he just did. "Oh, I just read your mind, by accident. My apologies."

Abel chuckled in Desmond's head. "I'm used to it. What with having my father around and all. So, no worries, okay?"

"Okay, thank you." He said, climbing up her back into a more comfortable position. "I'm sorry it took so long for me to come, I had some business to take care of."
